OK call me a dweeb but reading about the history of calculators (from abacuses — abaci? — to modern computers) really gets me going. For anyone who’s ever enjoyed a visit to a computer history museum (we have one in Mountain View CA) this really paints a vivid story of the technological and mental leaps that has brought us to today. Fun fun read.
